Stir 這款桌子機器人不但會自己移動、感應使用者的存在、記錄使用習慣並建議站立工作的時段。
這張名為 Stir Kinetic 的桌子可說是前所未見，不但會自己移動、感應使用者的存在、紀錄使用者的習慣，還可使用觸控螢幕來進行操控。更重要的是，這張桌子可以讓使用者活得更久！

延長壽命的秘密：站著工作
Stir 執行長 Labrosse 表示：「數年來已有多項研究顯示，長時間坐著其實很不健康。一項澳洲的研究甚至顯示，每坐一小時，壽命就會減少約 22.8 分鐘。」
這張桌子就是設計來改變這個習慣的。Stir 可藉由內建的馬達調整成不同的高度，讓使用者無論是站著、坐在瑜珈球上，或是坐在椅子上工作都行。雖然很多桌子都能調整高度，但 Stir 可是一張更有「智慧」的桌子。
站著不但有益健康，還能提升工作效率
Stir 會追蹤使用者站著工作所額外消耗的卡路里。只要站著半天，燃燒的熱量就和慢跑兩英里一樣多，對於不喜歡運動的人來說可是一大好消息。Labrosse 自己是在 Apple 的 iPod 團隊工作時開始站著工作的，他發現站著工作不只能夠塑身、長壽，還能提高工作生產力。
Labrosse 表示：「我發現站著工作的話，在下班前的心情會很好，完成的工作也會比較多。跟一群整天坐著工作的人比起來，站著或可以自由走動的人的生產力可以相差到一個小時之多。」
外觀與功能
Stir 的外觀走的是簡樸路線，所有的電線都隱藏在內側，還有四個隱藏的插座以及兩個 USB 充電孔，讓你的各項裝置都可以隨時充飽電。另外，桌子的前端則設有熱感應器，藉此感應使用者的存在，還有內嵌客製化的 Linux 系統觸控螢幕，可以用來操控整張桌子。
Stir 會記錄使用者的習慣，並分別建議站立以及坐下工作的時段。
此外，藉由內建的 Wi-Fi 及軟體開發套件（SDK），還可以將 Stir 與其他的配件或 App 整合，讓這張桌子學習更多的資訊及使用者習慣。例如，若 Stir 知道你在工作前已經慢跑了三英里的話，就會更新你的運動紀錄，並調整當天早上所給的活動建議。
金錢誠可貴，健康價更高
這張桌子在美國手工製作，木工更是完成於紐約，再加上各項智慧功能、電源供應系統與觸控式面板，而且還有保健與延年益壽的功能，價格因此十分不便宜，但 Labrosse 認為，買這張桌子，其實投資的是自己的健康，以及工作生產力。
